A project of two luxury villas in Plaka on the island of Crete, Greece. Mediterranean-style villas with local stone cladding and private pools.
The Challenge
Eshchar Engineering Solutions sought to present two luxury villas in Plaka, Crete to investors in Israel and Europe. The main challenge was to accurately reflect the requirements of the Cretan architectural committee — local stone cladding, stone lintels, specific colors, and a traditional Mediterranean style — while simultaneously demonstrating the luxury level and modern design of the project.
The Solution
We worked in close collaboration with architect Zacharias Mazanakis from Chania and the Israeli team led by Ma’ayan Tzvika and Alon Lev Zohar. We produced 13 exterior renderings showcasing the two villas. The renderings reflect the traditional Cretan stone cladding with prominent stone lintels, a color palette that met the local committee requirements, private swimming pools for each villa, wooden pergolas, Mediterranean landscaping, and stone steps in the landscape design. The work included coordination with the Cretan architectural committee’s requirements, which dictated specific materials, style, and colors.
